Also it was configure to look like the one you have pictures of in the photo section what would be the correct site for this rifle and what would be the correct serial number range for the carbine?

Hey guys I saw what was billed as a 1898 carbine, looked great but had a rifle site on it and the guy want to argue that it was the correct site and he only want $3000.00 for it, way too much, it did have a 98 cartouche. He was stating they made 5000 98 carbines, could not remember if they mad any, ...

I hope ALL enjoy there 4th! IK hope the elections change the face of Washington, I went and saw the new movie America, from the same guy that did 2016, I recommend that ALL go and see this as it is VERY, VERY interesting and will give you information from history that most have never even heard of.

cant see a lot from this picture. We will need more pictures and data to give you any help. I can tell that it has been refinished.

Looks like a full length rifle it would be nice if there were more pictures and the serial number the I and others can give you more info, welcome on board.

a whole lot lees than if it had been left with the origanial barrel on it, but who knows, we would need to see pictures showing the rifle and it overall condition and all of the markings and if is unaltered other than the match barrel.
