now i am no expert, but what does a krag carbine(one that isn't bubbasized) look like compared to a rifle.
serial numbers? 1898 or 1899?
i don't know, but i'd like to learn.

on my krag, i have a 1902 rear sight. this winter i plan on taking it off and putting a redfield peep sight on. can i 8/32" screw or do i need something else?(took off another gun so i could put on a scope)

the peep sight used a small threaded screw and when i took off the "buckhorn"(i don't know what it was, but it looked like buckhorns) sights, i took the same screw and put on the very tiny(i mean waaay tiny) peep sight ;D). <br /><br />the stock that's on it now is also a bishop put on in ...

i finally got my sporterized 30-40 krag out and i shot some loads. pictures look like c$#p, but your dealing with a stroke-abled guy who can not seem to draw with his left hand!!! i've been using a scope now for 20+ years, it was a little odd for me to start using open sights. i have, thank the Lord...
