U.S. Model 1898 Krag rifle, number 451574, is not listed in the appendix tables of Mallory' book, "The Krag Rifle Story", second edition.

'Hammer' - You can purchase a spare 'Sgt. Peep' plate and pivot-screw, from S&S Firearms (Glendale, N.Y.) or 'Grampa's Gun Parts', for a very reasonable cost. You can then enlarge the sight-hole, on one of your 'plates', for easier sighting. Most KCA Members just use the 'V' notch. The swing-up ...

Whig is correct. The DCM Krag sales documents appear to authorize a sale, but, do not contain the actual serial number of the rifle or carbine involved in the transaction. I have seen the document photo that Cat Man posted before; I recall the purchaser's name. I have different paperwork for an NRA ...
