Re: 1905 Springfield bayonet

<r>The scabbard on the 1906 bayonet is pretty rough. The 1912 one is in nice shape. Kind of hard to tell if its blued or parkerized. I will try to give them a clean up.<IMG src="https://kragcollectorsassociation.org/kca/phpBB3/images/yabbfiles/Attachments/20191011_130330.gif"><s>[img]</s><URL url="h...

<r>Hello to the forum: I picked this up and hope I can get some help from the pros. I thought the early bayonets should be in the brite. Does this look like a repo or possibly refinished? I know it is not a krag bayonet but maybe someone has some experience in this field. Thanks in advance, kc<IMG s...

Re: 1896 Carbine help

I convert the jpg. Images to gif images. They load up easier. Use the choose file box to load them on your reply. Load multiple images by using the attachment box to the left of choose files. Sounds like a nice carbine.

Re: Krag Finds in Gun Show Today

The gun shows by me are like small museums. Displays of things that are nice to look at but so over priced they may as well not be for sale. The internet sites do not help this. Just because someone somewhere pays a inflated price for an item does not mean that is its value. Try and tell that to the...

Re: 22 Hornet Heavy Barrel Krag Sporter

The Frank dehaas book "bolt action rifles"talks about the krag, hornet combination. It seems to have been a thrifty way to put a varmit rifle together back in the day. Depending when the conversion was done it might take .223 or .224 pills. My uncle had a .22 hornet on his farm. It had a l...

Re: Interesting peep over on DoubleGunShop boards

Do these styles of bolt mounted sights give up some accuracy because of play in the bolt , receiver connection? Or are they as good as a receiver mounted sight?

Re: Opinions before purchase

Thanks for everyone's help. I made a. Offer and will wait and see if I get it. I like the looks of it. It has a lot of honest use but that does not bother me.
Thanks again, kc
