'vonrichthofen': Thanks for sharing. It is very hard to find Norwegian Krags in the U.S. with matching numbers and excellent bores. You have a nice shooter that would be worthy of Stock restoration.

I was surprised when I got done cleaning the bore and shined a light in the breach to see that the bore was mirror bright! A good bit of the bluing is intact as well, so overall, a good solid shooter with matching numbers. Too bad the stock was cut and there is no cleaning kit or rods in the butt well. Something to look for! I hope its easier to locate these items than it was to find parts for my Confederate Fayetteville Rifle!

There's a full-length Norwegian stock on gunbroker right now, for $300 - but I did not look at the details or condition.
