Gun Identification

Received from a family member. Trying to identify exactly what it is?

Looks like a mosin nagant 91/30, maybe just a 91, I'm not an expert on them but it is a Mosin Nagant.
Overall length for a 91 is 51.25 inches
Overall length for a 91/30 is 48.75 inches

Not a Krag but a Mosin-Nagant, probably Soviet (USSR) Model 91/30. Seems in good shape, with original-type sling and bayonet.

It's a 91/30, likely chambered for 762x54R but sometimes Mosins were rechambered by bannerman for 30-06, a chamber casting would be the only sure way to tell if it's been messed with or not, likely no but something to be aware of. Looks like you also have the bayonet, if it's serialed to the rifle it is original and was always affixed to the rifle unless riding in a canvas covered truck, the Russians did not issue scabbords.
Edit, I very much doubt it is in any other caliber as it shows no signs to suggest it was, but when dealing with a unknown rifle I always reccomend a chamber casting using Cerrosafe to ensure nobody has messed with it in the last 90 years.
