got some time off ... I built this sporting rifle 4 years ago and never had the time to go shoot it ... finely got time off to go shooting ... here is some pictures have a look ...

I looked at both. Neither are the traditional Krag look, but nicely done, the craftsmanship really shows.

Those guys on the Classic & Custom Rifle forum might like that. But why the issue rear sight on the barrel? They just unscrew, then plug the holes. The scope looks like a Lyman Alaskan. Is it? And that Griffin & Howe detachable side mount is a classic. With the Alaskan, that's probably worth as much as the rifle.

Irons sights are back up in case the brown bear knocks the scope off? Maybe back up if the glass is fogged. I remember being in the middle of 2 herds of pigs with fogged glass on a moon lit night, no fun at all.

I too am waiting for a target.
