My first Krag

I’ve had this Krag several years. Made in 1898. Fore end tip was damaged when I got it. I spliced a piece of hedge under the barrel band. It will eventually turn about the same color as the stock. Since my old eyes and military sights don’t work good together I added a fiber optic front and aperture rear. I shoot the Lyman 311041 cast relative soft to about 1800 FPS. Quite accurate, pleasant to shoot and handles deer with ease.
