Redfield Peep Screw for side plate

Post by CoRifleman »

Hey all, am trying to find a new screw to work for the sideplate and sight with a Krag Redfield 70KH peep.

I understand it's a .187x26tpi screw - and that there are a handful of Krag and 1903 springfield screws that are the same.

I don't want to order the wrong thing.... I found this:

https://www.libertytreecollectors.com/p ... category=0

I also found this:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/274581152715 (this one looks interesting because it looks like the threaded portion is longer, which could be advantageous when fitting/shortening the screw to work.

Are either of these correct? Am I looking at the right thing? Do you have another source you'd recommend?

Reproduction screws made for Krag and 1903 Springfield barrel-band & swivel and front stacking-swivel can be adapted to hold Redfield 'no-drill' and Krag side-plate in place.
