Product Safety Recall

Post by butlersrangers »

The Product Safety Commission has ordered the recall of all 'wood stocked' U.S. rifles for the "Application of (ladder style) Stickers or Decals": cautioning against the practices of 'Firing Hot Ammo' or 'Engaging in Extreme Rapid-Fire.

You can tell right away from the photo that such a safety warning is needed. That one obviously burst into flames. Did any infants inhale the smoke?

Back when I was on the USS Ranger, I was an auxiliary gunner on a M2 .50 cal mount. We would train by shooting bags of trash (from the galley... mostly food stuff). I can tell you that the M2 barrel would absolutely glow red and smoke after a hundred rounds or so. I can see how that would cause a wood stock to burst into flames!

Warning to little kids... don't try this at home! ;D
