Springfield Armory Photo Bomb

Post by Knute1 »

An 1886 photo bomb of the Springfield Armory milling department. Some of these fellows may have been around when the Model 1892 stocks were being produced. I wonder if the guy in the window was a hit or if he was reprimanded.

He's probably one of Dick Hosmer's relatives!

I am QUITE sure that there are several of my cousins in that photo! Don't know about the guy in the window. Well, maybe not - my relatives worked either in the Filing Shop, or were inspectors (shop unknown). I have a similar photo - somewhere - which DOES show at least one family member.

No one has mentioned the 'Purple Martin House' on the window sill.
