Used to live on Hwy 97 and it was a designated oversize vehicle route. You have no idea how big those blades are till you see them up close. A farm of those things will slow the wind down, which will have some effect on the climate. Good or bad who knows. Some big wind farms near Corpus Christi, some one knows how many birds are killed as that area is in the middle of many migration fly ways, but you don not hear much about it.

A solar farm outfit was talking to me and some neighbors about doing a 1000 acre solar farm here. Considered contributing some acreage to the project but the money was not real good. I guess the others nixed the deal as I have heard nothing for several months. A solar farm will have consequences to the environment as well as reducing the food supply. It will make every one's lunches more expensive in the future.

Yep, unintended consequences.
