Hello, it is fun to be back ! I have submitted only 1 post in in the last year and half, primarily due to a deer tick bite while hunting from which I developed Babesia and became an invalid for several months. I am now back to 90% energy and endurance, and have returned to rifle shooting and and reloading.

Some may recall that I am the guy, who in the fall of 2019, acquired a model 1899 .30-40 Krag carbine which shot 24" high at 75 yards. Several forum members advised me to install a higher front sight post. I did that, and at 75 yards my carbine is now shooting 3-4" groups with 180 gr. Hornady spitzer factory ammo. I am confident I can do even better with reloads.

So, it would very helpful if some members could send me your Krag reload recipes that produce the following results:

Bullet Weight Desired Velocity Powder Brand # grs. if available, group sizes & yardages

165 gr. jacketed spitzer 2,400 fps

180 gr. jacketed spitzer 2,300 fps

220 gr. jacketed round nose 2,000 fps
