Krag Collectors Association Forum

1896 carbine s/n 75478 produced in 1897. The 96 stock has been sanded and had sling swivel holes filled at some point before I owned it. The wood has some excellent grain pattern and a light cartouche. The handguard is cracked, but stable. Metal finish is typical condition for this vintage Krag. The bore is good and checks a 1 on my muzzle wear guage. The rear sight is a genuine 96c sight.
