Frank Mallory R. I. P.

Post by Tom Butts »

We are saddened to learn of the death of Franklin B. Mallory, who leaves us a wealth of information as a reward for tireless research of Krag-Jorgensen rifles. Frank, who was a friend to many and respected by all of us KCA members, has left us a well organized, authoritative and clearly written book, "The Krag Rifle Story". We will all thank him many times for his diligence and willingness to share his knowledge. He will be missed.

The Appeal

If I have given you delight
In aught that I have done
Let me lie quiet in the night
Which shall be yours anon,

And for the little little span
The dead are borne in mind
Seek not to question other than
The books I leave behind.

Yes, Frank has left a big hole in Kragdom, and although he and I did not see eye to eye on some things I respected his knowledge, and especially respected the man.

Eternal peace be yours.
