Very true and always great advice on older ammo.

I love the Krag caliber and ammunition and have a lot of the old collectible ammo. The variety of vintage .30-40 Krag or .30 Govt ammo is quite amazing and an area of collectibility by itself or along with the Krags that we own. I have shot a lot of this old ammo, being careful to examine them beforehand, as Paul states, and have found that a good percentage of the old brass have split necks after shooting them, when they were solid before. So, this old brass is dangerous to reload, also, if you don't examine the necks carefully. I don't find too many separated heads but check brass out well.

The .30-40 Krag caliber really is fun to collect, reload AND shoot!

Enjoy!
