Picked up this gun at an auction last night.
I know nothing about Krags. This is a really unique piece and being the only bidder I got it right. (I think?)
It is Danish and has been converted to 45/70, barrel is marked Made in Italy. It has very simple sights which are dovetailed on, a huge plus if I decide to keep and shoot it.
I have no ammo so have not checked for feeding. The work inside the action is rough so I don't know what to expect but have done hobby smithing on Mausers for many years and have no doubt I will overcome any feeding problems.
So Anyone who has any experience with this gun in 45/70 I would appreciate Your comments.

Some comment on one here: http://forums.gunboards.com/showthread.php?193625-Danish-Krag-in-45-70 and mention of a 1950-51 custom-build "Gronlands Rifle's" conversions, in the rimmed 11.4X53R for further research on your part. Pics, when you get a chance.
