30-40 Krag ammo shortage

I was wondering why my local gun store was out of 30-40 Krag ammo. Turns out this guy bought it all for his 1895 whinnie!

Seems a bit excessive! I believe the boy is holding a M1916 Spanish Mauser Short Rifle. Any background on the photo?

I picked three old post cards at an estate sale. None are filled out so kind of hard to date them. I think they are from the Mexican revolution in the early teens. I am going back tommorow to dig around for some more of them.

Jose Orozco (born 1883) is the name of a famous Mexican Artist from the Revolution Period. However, he did not look like the individual in the above photo and lost his left hand in 1903.

I think the postcard might be misnamed. If you Google pascual oroxco he looks a lot like the postcard photo. He was involved for years in the Mexican revolution and eventually killed by the Texas rangers.
