Out of the serial number this is the remains from a M1894 Krag/Jrgensen produced by Steyr in 1897. The stock is cut down from a m1894 rifle, and the barrel is also cut down and fit with a sight I do not know so it becomes a "look a alike" M1895 krag Jrgensen carabine.
Google is a nice "tool", a lot of picutres found om krag carabines m1895 http://www.google.no/search?q=m1895+krag+karabin&hl=no&client=opera&hs=vLa&rls=nb&channel=suggest&prmd=imvns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=_-NKUP-uDND04QTJ9YCwAg&ved=0CC4QsAQ&biw=1567&bih=655
