Out of the serial number this is the remains from a M1894 Krag/Jrgensen produced by Steyr in 1897. The stock is cut down from a m1894 rifle, and the barrel is also cut down and fit with a sight I do not know so it becomes a "look a alike" M1895 krag Jrgensen carabine.
