I guess I don't know all the exact details of this Florida case yet but I don't think the Stand Your Ground law protects someone from a stupid shooting. It sounds like the aggressor in this deal was bullying the defendant but, after he pushed the defendant down, backed off and started to turn to walk away. That's when the defendant shot him.
I'm sure we'll hear more but I hope the law isn't revoked around the country because of a case like this. It seems like this shooter used the law to get out of an unjustified shooting.
I'd like to read Massad Ayoob's account, in detail, of this case!
