Battle of sugar point

Interesting piece of history. I think the photo shows krag rifles with canvas reciever covers. This was called the last armed conflict between the U.S. army and American Indians. https://leech-lake.com/moment-time-sugar-point-battle-point/

I believe this is the same battle. Ojibwe and Chippewa is the same. Your post has a photo that wasn't seen in the link below.-

I think both links are from the same battle also. I wish the photo had a little better detail. But it is over a 120 years old!
