Beautiful Rifle... Now I just gotta figure out how you re-sized that picture to 250 pixels without shrinking it to oblivion!

WTF is this 250 pixels business? People have successfully posted huge pictures here with no problem. I suspect it either has to do with the resolution being used on the camera, or the format of the picture file itself. Just play around until you get the right compromise - it'll come.

Compare relative finished image sizes of the 88KB shot, with the 157KB one - at least 4X the size, but less than double the bytes - yet both are JPEGs. Something needs adjusting.

The 250 max is KB not sure about pixels

Hey, you got them. I was just in the process of doing so.

1898. It's been through an arsenal rebuild and the stock was pretty heavily sanded. The finish shows great age on top of that so it's arsenal done.

1902 sight.

It's an early Model 1898. Unlike so many it's still all there.

Nice rifle.
