Load Data Error (and lesson learned). I recently included some 1967 Lyman Manual Data in a response to mi-fordson. When I turned the Manual page to get to the Bullet he is using, two pages turned. The table I was actually copying was for .30-06!
The correct Data for #2400 and cast bullet #311290 is:
starting load --- 16.0 grains #2400 = 1415 f.p.s.
maximum load -- 21.0 grains #2400 = 1716 f.p.s.
I don't think I will attempt to transcribe any more data. "Go to reliable sources and check things twice or thrice. Begin with starting loads and always look for signs of excessive pressure".
