Mild load

Has anyone tried the mild load recommended by C.E. Harris in a 30-40 Krag rifle? He suggested 13 grains of Red Dot in any full size .30 cal or larger cartridge up to and including 45-70. My understanding is that just about any jacketed bullet up to 200 grains could be used. The mild load is suppose to churn out 1400 fps with a 150 grain bullet, but easy on the rifle, shoulder and pocket book. I am about to load up a batch, but would like to hear from others. Thanks
