Krag S/N and $$$

Post by Shaun Blackmon »

I have inherited a Model 1898 sn 268846. On the SAS page there is no info for this sn, I was curious if there was another source with more info. My g-uncle got the gun when he was released from service at the time of WW1, I dont know if he saw other service or not. I was also curious of the value for insurance. I have read all the post and enjoy this site.

forgot to state the gun is in excellent condition. the wood is factory condition, metal has NO rust . The rifle looks as if it was taken out of the box and put in a gun cabinet and never touched.
