Serial Number Check on a M98

Good Morning All,

I would appreciate any assistance with the history of my Krag 98 serial number 388162.

Cartouches are JSA 1902 and bore is mirror perfect and timber and metal would be around 90 - 95%.

The stock has a 8FA stamped on the heel (I assume this is a rack number)

#388162 doesn't show up in the SRS listings, but from your description, it sounds like you've got a nice one. Enjoy!

I have been enjoying my Krag at Historical Arms Collectors shoots here in Qeensland. Have a nice cast load using 4227 and a 165 cast pill.

Everyone over here wants to get a Krag but mine is one of the only ones that has been seen (here and in use).

Our next shoot here in in Aug 10/11 and i hope to get top rifle after coming second last year.
