Hey Guys
I'm new to the Krag I found one for $225.00 With a 1903 cartouche. Is this a good price and what should I look for before I purchase one?

Re: Newby Price Check
That's a good price if in good condition and not hacked up! Is it an original rifle with long stock and 30" barrel or has it been "sporterized"? If uncut, it's probably worth more, but if modified value drops to the $150-250 range in this neck of the woods. Beyond that as the saying goes the most important things are: 1. Condition 2. Condition and 3. Condition. Look at wood, finish, bore and for anything that just doesn't "look" right.
For more help, we need a more complete description, including serial number, all markings, type of sights and etc.

Hal Beatty
