My new 1902 Krag

Post by TennTexan »

After shooting my good friend's specimen from 1898, I knew I had to have a Krag of my own. A local shop, Jackson Armory in Dallas, had 10-or-so Krags on the rack, priced very reasonably. I picked a nice example from 1902 with a great bore.

Took it out for the first time this weekend. My first two shots on a steel silhouette at 100 yards were center mass about 2-3" apart. I picked up a repro M1887 sling for it and a Lee Classic Loader (the whack-a-mole kind). These are such great old rifles! One of these days I'll have to get a carbine to keep it company.ImageImageImageImageImage
