Another new Krag (1898 rifle)

Post by MPF »

It is true, they do multiply!

While I don't think this will generate the interest that my 26" sporter did. But, last week I picked this up from a friend who got it in a package deal. Now I have two '98's one with '01 sights and one with '02. Wish it had been a '96 carbine!

A good rifle, but not a great rifle. At least it won't be in the back of someone's closet for the next 30 years.ImageImageImageImage

Nice looking model 1898 rifle with a sling to boot! How is the bore?

I REALLY need to get a throat gauge if I these things are going to continue to multiply in my safe!

Fairly clean bore but looks a little worn.

Looks great to me? Or am I just envious.
