Krag Gallery 22 Sold in WI

Last week a Krag .22 Cal gallery practice rifle turned up at a local gun auction in North East Wisconsin. Here is a photo of the receiver confirming the serial number to add to the list here on the Krag site. Serial Number is 476135.

Unfortunately, the rifle had been "sporterized". Stock fore end shortened, receiver drilled and tapped on the right side for receiver sight and the original front sight replaced with one from an M1903 rifle. Don't know if the barrel length was original. Photo was taken for me by a friend to confirm serial number and receiver marking. I could not attend the auction so don't know any more details about were it came from or were it went.

They are still out there. :'(
