1898 Krag rifle find and srs check please

I bought an 1898 krag rifle, serial no. 336917 from a friend. It has most of its original finish remaining, around 85-90%. It was made in 1901 so both receiver and stock match, it has an 1896 model rear sight and a 1915 dated RIA 1907 military sling in excellent shape. Bore is fine with minor pitting in a couple areas. I paid $700, did I do alright. I'll post some pictures for you and thanks for helping me.

You did alright. The '96 rear sight is a little "out of sequence" and brings up the need to see the front sight blade.
