Yep, barrel and chamber have been ground out.
3" 410 shotshell fits nicely, still don't think I want to shoot it.

Another question occurred to me. A Lee-Enfield can be converted to .45-70 without too much difficulty, and the cartridges feed from the magazine. Can a Krag be converted to .45-70?

Frank DeHass mentioned that his son and another fellow made one feed 444 Marlin. Here in Ohio the 375 Win and 38-55 are now deer legal, I might make up one of them.
