A buddy of mine recently picked up a nice 1899 Carbine mounted with a Redfield Model 70K receiver sight. Does anyone know the years that this sight was made?

According to Nick Stroebel's book, "Old Gunsights & Rifle Scopes":
Redfield introduced the #70 Micrometer Receiver Sight in the early 1940s. It was offered with both the coin-slotted 'Hunter' knobs and knurled 'Target' knobs. Production of the #70 ended in 1964.
