scope mount
this is a Paul Jaeger scope mount I got on Ebay for the sporster I have been putting together ... It has a base that attaches to the receiver and a scope mount and rings that slides onto the base well have a look

Looks like a nice old sporter especially with that scope and mount.Any chance you could post some pics of the entire rifle? Someone spent some time checkering it. Thanks,Kooler.

here is some more pictures ... the barrel action came from a gun show the stock that had been in fire came from eBay as well as all the rest of the parts ... I found the scope mount by typing in vintage scope mount and vintage scope base .. on ebay ...

I have different scope on in this picture ... the really nice thing about Paul Jaeger mounts is that they are very easy to take one off you just turn the locking handle and the mount slips off and you can put a different scope on ..

Sporster, I had one of those back in the day. I traded it for my first production lathe back in 1983. Put 25,000 miles on it before I traded it off. 1973 XLCH kick start Harley Sporster. Was wondering why anyone would put a scope on one. Insert smiley here.
Nice looking sporter in the photo. So now it makes sense.
