This Gem is on GunBroker starting at $1,799. Some Barbarian has apparently ground an 1894 dated receiver to fit into a nice model 1898 stock. A clean '1902 Cartouche' has him calling it a "1902 arsenal rebuild".
(At least Bannerman and Stokes Kirk had some ethics and scruples and were just providing some cheap useful guns, with a little 'sales blarney')!

Sometimes they just hog out the wood. If the receiver is ground it is not a really great loss because the 1896 mods were (apparently) done. GB is literally awash with "updated" 1894 (sic) Krags.
