Range Sight - for old eyes

Post by butlersrangers »

A couple of years ago, I bought a 'messed up' Redfield (#102-K 'no-drill') sight very cheap on ebay. I got it to scavenge some parts for an incomplete, but, much nicer #70 Redfield Sight.

I pulled that 'bubba' sight out of my junk box today and made a mounting screw for it. After some 'testing', I decided that one screw will hold it secure enough (so there is no movement and no need for the bracket that hooks into the Magazine Cut-Off hole).

I now have a 'one screw attachment' sight that is solid enough for Range Sessions and does not require removal of the Cut-Off.

I'd be happy to send you a 5-40 set screw so you can set your 100 yd. zero. I see you're missing yours and I've got 99 to get rid of after buying a box of 100 to replace mine that was also missing.

'Texas10': Thanks, I guess I could use a few 5-40 Set screws in my 'parts box'. I will PM you with my address.
