Picture Gallery/Catalog

Post by Dick Hosmer »

As stated previously, I will be starting to dispose of my collection, probably next year. I am in the midst of creating a "memory book", primarily for myself, but it occurred to me that it might have some public appeal as well. Size will be 8.5x11, looks like about 200 pages with maybe 500 color pictures. SOME are from my website/books (B&W did not do them justice) but quite a few are of guns, accessories, etc., that I've never mentioned before. It will be a handy portable reference as to what the various arms are supposed to look like.

At least 15 Krags will be pictured, including a .22 and both BoOFs.

It is NOT a textbook - captioning will be minimal, and in all honestly not everything shown will be for sale - at least immediately. I do plan to keep a core group, for awhile.

I'm GOING to complete it for myself, but what says the group about selling it as well? Presently looking at $39.95, but I'm flexible, if too many people make choking sounds. Thanks for your input.

Dick - I have enjoyed the photos you have made accessible through the KCA main pages and photos you have shared on the forum.

I would definitely purchase a book, by you, featuring quality photos of items in your U.S. Military Collection.

The price sounds very reasonable in this era of $100-Plus gun books.

Well, now I feel like 'chopped liver'.

FWIW - Actually, a lot of the usual suspects have not shown-up yet on the revised KCA site.

Don't give up. I am FINALLY able to log in for the first time today and it was a struggle. Glad to be back.

I would purchase the photo book collection!

Chuck, NO slight was intended!!!! I believe you are entirely correct about the present scarcity of members. Please accept my apologies.

When I posted that comment it had had 27 viewers, and 1 response, yours.

That stung a bit, and so I lashed out. Apologies to all concerned.
