then i had bartley dark oil filler and i sanded it again. when that was done, then 4 ought steel wool it.

3 coats of minwax antique oil.

i think i'm going to do 7 or 8 coats of minwax. then i'll rotten stone and oil it. when thats done, two coats of johnson paste wax.

if you notice the 1st picture, you will see a fat man with my fist. i am a stroke survivor. the right side of my body and my speech is only about 20% good. in about 8 - 9 nine years, i have(still) learned patience. i use to be one of those get the job done right and fast. it was good for the job i had(heavy construction equipment and laborer in sewer and water mains or jack of all trades, master of none  :D ) i used to be a shade tree gun mechanic, bolt bending, d&t......you know, little things i can do. now, i let them go to my gunsmith. i do almost complete rifle and redo rifle stocks and i do it one hand. time i have. i'll do sanding/finishing as long as i want to do it. it will be 1 hour or it will be 8+ hours each day, except hunting season!!!!!!! then it goes to zero hours a day.

and thank you very much!!!!!

Awesome work. I have worked only many stocks but Wood filler removal and repair is beyond me.

buy an oil based filler, like famowood. you'll have to re-sand the stock but you'll love it.
