target camera
Im getting set up to go shooting ... here is some of my setups ... I have a target camera that goes out on the target .. It is capable of a 3 mile range ... and a spotting scope instead of a eye piece it has a sony 1/3 inch ccd camera and a 9 inch monitor . so I can switch from the target camera to the spotting scope ... so first picture is the target camera and the spotting scope ...

Re: target camera
I like your set up. I have seen some of the digital target camera systems but I don't have a good range to set one up at yet. Maybe in the future.
Instead I have adapted a Celestron G5 Reflecting telescope as a spotting scope (with a variety of lenses for different distances and magnification) for some of my long distance shooting use. I use old mil surp sniper rifles as well as more contemporary .308 and 6.5x284 caliber sniper rifle set ups for nice accurate and precise distance shooting. The telescope spotting scope is great with the easy adjusting telescope tripod and mount.
Here's a picture of my set up at the range a couple days ago with a Mosin Nagant PU Sniper rifle I had fun blasting with. I was able to get 1 1/2 inch groups at 100 and 200 yards with this rifle using old Russian corrosive mil surp ammo. Not bad. I wanted to test it out and get it sighted in well with crap before using nice reloads.
I also shot my SR90 Robar .308 sniper rifle after this Mosin and was able to get 1/3 MOA repeatedly. The spotting scope is nice for 500 yards and greater. My SR90 is boringly accurate. Very fun but I didn't have good targets to shoot at when I was out and just enjoyed it out to 500 yards.
A nice digital camera at a distance target would be great!
Thanks for your post. It got me to take my camera with me for these picture!
