1902 Colt .45
1902 Colt .45
Was able to buy a 1902 Colt .45. I had looked for one for a long time. I bought it at a fair price in todays market. I could see where it would have better stopping power than the .38 S&W. Also even with a heavy double action trigger pull it would be fast to get into action in an ambush. Not in great shape but pretty good for 120 years old.

I can imagine that little grip flipping up in my huge monster hands if I tried to shoot it! Neat looking revolver!

Re: 1902 Colt .45
Way back in 1954, I saw one of those that had been copper-plated, sort of like bronzed baby shoes. The trigger guard had been cut away and the barrel cut back to about 2 inches. The asking price was $25 and it sat in Carter's gunshop for a long time.

Sounds like someone was copying a "Fitz special .45"
