YouTube Series - Rakum Projects: Making an 1898 Krag Stock From Scratch

Post by P0H0 »

Ever wonder what it would be like to make your own 1898 Krag stock from scratch? Well wonder no more, and enjoy!

The 1898 Krag Stock series is fairly new and he just published Part 7 which begins work on the hand guard. I also linked a previous series where he restores a Norwegian Krag.

Thanks for posting the link. I have no talent for stock making but it is interesting to see how it could be done.

Fascinating - some things I'd thought of, some not. Only started the series - got turned off when he decided to go rogue on the butt inletting - so he didn't have any rods, poor baby - that's no excuse to start freelancing.

I found one of his earlier videos helpful when I was working on the inletting for the two 1898 Krag stocks. I think he did a fantastic job!
