That's some good looking shooting with the 03 and Garand... gonna give us all a run for our money at Perry! Don't be too upset about the carbine at 200 yards. They really aren't accurate out past 100... and in fact the Carbine Match at Perry is shot at 100 yards! I was pretty happy to actually BE on paper with my crappy shooting skills... LOL

I hear you, but I was actually off paper at 100 yards too. I had to move over the sight 1/16” — that just happens to be flush with the end of the dovetail. This should put me pretty close… I can adjust a bit from there.

It is a bit better, although certainly not a precision rifle. I had a paper target at 100 Yards and steel at 200 and 300 yards. While the M1 Carbine can reach 300 yards, it did not hit the 300 yard steel with the authority of 30-06 or 8mm Mauser. I would feel a whole more confident with it at a maximum range of 100 to 150 yards .

My results today at 100 yards

My IBM M1 Carbine. Non-import with mostly IBM parts including the stock and handguard. She is a fine shooter and one of my favorite rifles.
