Thanks Dick for contacting the GunBroker 'Seller'. It is difficult to inform someone that they have a fake.

A 'cheat' will just tell you to bugger off and may impune your parentage.
A naive owner of a fake, doesn't know he got screwed, until becoming informed,
through his own research, or if 'flaws' are pointed out by a learned Krag enthusiast.

It is nice to enjoy a few guffaws over a bogus Krag, draped in blarney. But not every viewer of the KCA forum may understand or learn from our sarcasm.
I thought it useful to clarify it is a fake and point out some of the clues.

Actually, the 'faked' Krag short rifle, that is the subject of this thread, is kind of cute and would be a fun 'shooter' at $400.

But $3,000 is serious money for a bogus gun and someone got or will get victimized through transactions involving this fake.
