When I look at the "double JSA" photo, I think I see 2 faint outlines of part of an inspector's stamp above them.

Wow Butlersrangers. Great eyes!
I didn’t even see what now looks to me to be a prior box cartouche underneath the JFC box cartouche until you pointed it out. It even looks like it may have been a script JSA cartouche.

The mystery deepens now as to why JF Coyle would have put his cartouche over the top of a prior JSA cartouche…

If only we had a time machine, I'd either jump forward and get a sports almanac or go back in time and see what a 100% real Krag looked like. You know fresh off the production floor before 120 plus years of people possibly messed with it.

Time set for January 1, 1894 when the first two U. S. Magazine Rifles, Model of 1892, were completed. Krag history in the making! Rusty...is that you?! Bring some new Krags back for all of us!

I have a time machine; it leads to lots of unintended consequences!

Because of Biden's open time travel policies I had to shut down my Time Tunnel. I was having problems with illegal time travelers and especially Time Bandits!

Speaking of “time tunnels”, here’s one on this amazing Krag that keeps giving me surprises!

I finally got to where I could punch a cotton cloth thru the bore and wipe down the chamber, and I’m so happy to see that it is bright and shiny, with no pitting, and has sharp lands and grooves the length of the 30 inch barrel . The bore was so bright with the first light I used, it was washing out my camera picture so I had to use a subdued light to be able to take the picture. 8-)

I’ve been traveling for the past week and a half and I finally got to where I could put a little bit more attention into this amazing (to me) Krag.
when I finally got around to prying open the plate on the butt stock look what fits very snuggly! They weren’t rattling around so I wasn’t aware of their presence 8-)

It is nice to have Krag butt-trap accessories.

It appears that one of the visible rod-ends either has a broken 'rod-thread' in the female end or it is a section with the male-thread cut off?

If needed, individual rod-sections can be purchased from Grampa's Gun Parts.
