Ist one on highbid muzzle looks rusted bad into end of barrel. 2nd one is a rifle cut down or barrel changed to 22 inches. Rear sight probably rifle. There are nice ones selling out there. Lots of Krags available. Just have to be picky and watch details especially if you can't handle it in person and check the bore condition.

Both of those would sell here for well above $1000. I have been watching Krag prices around here for 5 years now. Only seen 1 with a good bore sell under $1000 and I now own it. :D

Oooooo. It even has a M1923 canvas sling. Golly. Most likely a reproduction.

Awww come on guys, I just wanted to show that decent Krags could be had for less than a gazillion dollars.

Unfortunately, gone are days when you could buy SUPER NICE correct military configured Krags on the cheap...unless your one of the lucky few like scottz63!

BTW: Maybe the Krag rifle, with a 1923 canvas sling, was previously used by a CMP vintage rifle shooter...they are legal to use according to CMP.

But, you are right, Moose. There are some good ones out there to buy at excellent prices. You have to know what to look for and, sometimes, see details that others don't. Keep looking and good luck!
