While touring the National Museum Of Military Vehicles in Dubois, Wyoming last week, I was stopped in my tracks at this ammunition box in the Winchester firearms display.
We have all seen bits and pieces of collector Krag ammo and added some to our collections. But here behold, a full original Wood shipping crate of .30 Army in 20 round boxes.

Cool Beans! That would make a nice foot-rest.
Where's the 6mm Lee-Navy ammo mentioned in the display card?
It's nice to see museum displays with good peripheral items.
Thanks for sharing Cat Man!

WOW.... Gots me droolin' Jeff!
Re: Krag Ammo by the crate
Given today's prices, if that was new ammunition, all in small cardboard or plastic boxes inside a big cardboard box, it would go for something like $2,000 or $2,500. If those are 50 of the really old lift-top pasteboard boxes full of FMJ Krag loads, presumably all unopened. Plus a neat Winchester packing box, dovetailed, probably made out of western white pine way back when (1920s?), of a grade you can't buy anymore, the whole works has to be worth a lot more. The only drawback is the museum's plastic box top (absolutely necessary). If I had it on my gunshow table, I be asking $17,500 and maybe let a nice guy talk me down to $15,000. For the jerks, the price would go up, maybe to $20,000. Does the museum have the original top back in some storage room?
You could trade a pickup truck full of those crates for a new house.

Just noticed that box of 10 NOS M1917 handguards sitting next to the ammo. Nice!
