I know Dick has Krag rifle serial number 482440 and I own a sporter with serial number 482709.
I just found a Krag Model 1898 rifle for sale online with serial number 488188. (And those are "8"s.) (Not buying it!)
Highest known serial number, if I have my details correct, is 499036 (Mallory 2nd Edition, if verified. Forget the questionable 759246 listed in Mallory also!)
488188 below is the highest Krag serial number I have ever seen. Pretty neat! Anyone else have any high numbers?
