I load Hornady #30396 160gr FTX for the 308 Marlin express. At 3.145" OAL they feed like greased sausages in my 1899 vintage Krag.



I marked the last of bullets loaded into the magazine with a fine tip sharpie at the mouth of the case. After firing 4 rounds and feeding the marked cartridge, it had not dislodged. the fine black line was still right were it started.
