Michigan on Fire!

Post by butlersrangers »

Some wonderful Lower and Upper Peninsula photographs that talented people have posted on FaceBook this week!

My favorite time of the year .... took the wife to a local apple orchard for fresh cider and donuts, today.
Some of the best colors are found near where we live.

Ohio is a perfectly nice State, but, some things are just 'no brainers', this time of year.

Ohio welcomes those who turn away from their evil deeds and want to live a life peace and bliss. We have always welcomed sinners and never judge those from other States except for thems from Michigan. We give them the Joan of Arc treatment since Michigan likes to be on fire.

God blessed Ohio because Camp Perry is there.

You are right Culpeper. Ohio has more farm production than Michigan, very prosperous looking farms, and Camp Perry.

Michigan has a lot of wasteland ... beaches, dunes, wetlands, lakes and forests.

I like many parts of Ohio and Ohio people. They are mighty fine neighbors.
There is lots of history and neat things to see and do in the "Buckeye State".
I cheer for Ohio sports teams, when mine are eliminated.
It is great to have a sibling rivalry with you!

This Fall, though, things are really spectacular in Michigan. Fall Colors and the Lions, too!
(The Detroit Lions, a long 'sorry assed' losing organization, that was formerly known as the Portsmouth, Ohio, 'Spartans').

Enjoy the views!

(p.s. - Sorry Trump and Kamala, if Coach Dan Campbell was a Presidential Candidate, he'd be a shoo-in at the polls in Detroit and most of Michigan).

Thank you for the photos. It brought tears to my eyes.

It means but one thing, the DAMYANKEES are on the way down. Each Michigander with a Ohioan under each arm and a trunk full of cold weather. It is very easy to spot a damyankee down here they are in the left lane doing 25 under the speed limit. We won’t be able to get into our restaurants or go to the beach. It is easy to spot a damyankee, frolicking in the water or working on a tan. The natives have their parkas on tightly bundled up. Their jaws hitting the ground when they see what 160 – 170 MPH winds do pushing a 20+ foot storm surge ashore. We found finally all the bodies 72, but if they weren’t reported as missing so they probably won’t be found. When I was in high school all those decades ago we talked about a bumper sticker for the natives to identify them. YANKEE GO HOME LEAVE YOUR WALLETS AND DAUGHTERS.

I prefer to be called a 'Damn Michigander'. There is a NYC baseball team we hated, while growing up, that is called the "Yankees".

I like the rest of New York State, though.
