I travel a lot for business, so I always try and visit gun stores to see if they have anything for my collection.
Came across these today. First time I have ever seen them anywhere.
Anybody here know anything about when they were made or used?
1 box, 20 Cartridges, Blank, Caliber 30 (1898) M3 made by Remington Arms Company.
The box has never been opened. There are faint traces of a lot number, but they are hard to make out. It looks like lot number 5237.
Interesting Find.

Do they look any thing like these?

I have a bunch of these blanks. In fact, I gave half that I had away to a guy up by Newville, Penn. because his veterans group uses krags for the final send off.

When I remember how many of those sealed boxes of vintage Krag and '03 ammo I ripped open back in the 60's and 70's in order to shoot tin cans in the shale pit, I want to cry!
